On the beautifully sunny weekend of the 1-3 of November, Tanwen and I photographed the Waikato A&P Show at the Claudelands Events Centre. Throughout the weekend, there were equestrian competitions, performers on the main stage, dog agility trials, livestock judging, the children’s AG Club, and much more. Despite getting a bit sunburned, we managed to get some amazing shots over the three days, including getting up at 2am on the Saturday night to capture the moment when the BBQ Mania competitors started their long American-style barbeque cooks. I was invited to be a judge for the Waikato A&P Show photography competition and as really impressed with the talent our Hamiltonians have.
